Welcome To Buckton Vale Primary School

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Buckton Vale Primary School’s website.
 head

Here at Buckton Vale Primary School we welcome children, their parents and carers into a friendly, happy and hardworking environment where respect for others, positive attitudes towards work and behaviour are encouraged and nurtured.

Buckton Vale Primary is a school where all children are valued and where all staff work hard to help every child reach his or her full potential.  Children work in a very caring, stimulating school environment and respond well to the school’s positive discipline policy and the school’s ethos of -

All members of staff here at Buckton Vale Primary School, both teaching and non-teaching, are committed to providing and supporting a broad, balanced and relevant education for all the children within a supportive and caring environment.  They seek to build the self-esteem of all children through a policy of equal opportunity.  All staff work hard to ensure that relationships throughout the school are based on mutual trust and respect as the school strongly believes that it is through secure relationships that the children respond with positive attitudes and understanding of their work and to others.

The governing body is very supportive of the school and works in close partnership with the school philosophy, that all children have a right to succeed and that all children have a right to an excellent education.

Parents are encouraged to take part in their children’s education and are welcome into school whenever possible.

Year 5 Poppies

Year 5 were inspired by the poppies at the Tower of London, to make a remembrance display at the entrance to school.

The poppies were made from willow, recycled fruit nets and red ribbons.

They were all tied to a length of chicken wire and draped from the branch of a tree.
