Hello Sycamore Class,
Here is this week’s learning overview. Please remember that tasks can be completed in any order and at a pace that suits you as a family. The home learning timetable is just a guide to help you structure and plan your week.
This week I will once again be making phone calls to find out how the children are getting on at home. Please look out for a call from a withheld number as it might be me!
This week the children will become news reporters and plan an article about Nelson Mandela. I have uploaded a variety of resources to help you with your plan. Tomorrow morning, I will upload some scans of the Nelson Mandela book that we would have read in class together. You could use this and previous work over the past few weeks for facts for your article. I would love to read your finished articles.
The children in school loved the coding activity in the computer suite last week! I hope that you enjoyed it too. This week’s activity involves angry birds and a few other familiar characters. The further along you get the harder it gets. I wonder what level you can all reach.
In class we all enjoyed exploring the world in an atlas so I have set you a challenge this week to use your map skills to answer specific questions. I hope you enjoy it.
Please keep up with your learning at home. You are all doing great!
